Relay teams shine for Hartville track

The Hartville boys and girls track and field program kicked off their spring season last week by competing in the Ava Bears Invitational and had several solid performances.
Two relays won first place for the Hartville Lady Eagles.
The 4x200-meter relay won with a time of 2:03.34 while the 4x400-meter relay was first with a time of 4:38.72.
Kinley Cryer won the 800 meters race with a time of 2:37.95 as teammate Carlyn Cantrell was sixth (2:50.37).
McKenzi Stigall was second (28.92) and Ella Stalder was eighth (32.04) in the 200 meters.
Stalder was also seventh in the 100 (14.50). Claire Dickinson took seventh in the 1,600 meters (7:17.49).
Shaelynn Ghormley placed third in the discus (23.92 meters) and Jacey Revey took eighth in the shot put (7.12 meters).
The Eagles also had a solid relay effort as they earned a pair of fourth-place finishes. The 4x400 took fourth with a time of 4:10.80 and the 4x800 was fourth (10:28.28).
Broc Roden was sixth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 48.39 seconds.
