Lady Eagles win two at Vienna event
The Hartville Lady Eagles’ softball team won two of their three contests in the Vienna Fall Invitational.
Hartville knocked off Waynesville, 10-2, after scoring at least two runs in four straight innings.
McKenzi Stigall had two RBIs and one run scored; Haddie Ward had one RBI and scored twice; and Brielle Kline scored one run.
On the mound, Saige Petty tossed five innings and gave up two earned runs on six hits with four strikeouts.
The Lady Eagles also had a 4-2 win over the host Vienna.
Stigall had one RBI and one run scored while both Sarah Palmer and Petty added one RBI.
Petty also tossed five innings on the mound and gave up one earned run on three hits with three strikeouts.
In the opener, the Lady Eagles fell 6-0 to School of the Osage.
In the loss, Petty tossed five innings and gave up two earned runs on six hits with four strikeouts and four walks.
