Hartville Eagles win Conway Fall Classic championship

The Hartville Eagles’ baseball team outscored three opponents, 30-7, to finish as the Conway Fall Classic champions.
In a match-up with the host Bears, Hartville’s six-run second inning helped them to an 11-5 victory.
Truett Coryell led the offense with two RBIs and two runs scored; Brodyn Hulsey had two RBIs and one run scored; Cole Sinning had two RBIs; while Hunter Walker, Heston Lowery and TJ Kline each scored two runs. Gus Sinning had one RBI and one run scored and Jacob Meglan had two RBIs.
Cole Sinning tossed four and two-thirds innings and gave up three earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts and one walk. Hulsey tossed one and a third innings and gave up two earned runs on four walks.
In a 16-0 win over Plato, all nine players scored at least one run in the win. Lowery had three RBIs and two runs scored; Cole Sinning had three RBIs and one run scored; Coryell had two RBIs and three runs scored; and Meglan added two RBIs and runs scored.
Lowery tossed a no-hitter for three innings and had five strikeouts.
Hartville scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the fifth inning to knock off Gainesville, 3-2.
Meglan had three RBIs in the win.
Coryell tossed seven scoreless innings and gave up four hits with seven strikeouts and three walks.
Their lone loss came in a spring postseason rematch with Crocker where the Lions won, 3-0.
Gus Sinning tossed four innings and gave up one earned run on three hits with seven strikeouts and four walks. Lowery tossed two scoreless, no-hit innings and had three strikeouts.
After the tournament, the Eagles picked up a 2-0 Summit Conference win over Seymour.
Gus Sinning had one RBI and Dallas Jordan and Cole Sinning both scored one run.
Coryell tossed seven shutout innings and gave up two hits with 13 strikeouts and three walks.
Two days earlier, the Eagles lost on the road to Licking, 10-4.
Both Trey Smith and Hulsey had one RBI and one run scored while Cole Sinning and Kline each had one RBI. Gus Sinning scored two runs.
Gus also tossed four and a third innings and gave up three earned runs on three hits, seven strikeouts and four walks. Lowery tossed one and two-thirds innings and gave up one earned run on two hits with two strikeouts and two walks.
