Hartville Eagles’ golf team competes in Joplin event

The Hartville Eagles’ golf team had some success on the links in events last week.
On a wet course, the Eagles combined for a team score of 375 at the New Heights Invitational in Joplin.
They were led by Jace Hughes, who shot a 79 for second place overall.
Other scores came from Jesse Hughes (91), Jesse Vestal (94), Carson Ragland (111) and Brent Mount (119).
In the Lutie Scramble last week, three Eagles’ golfers competed.
Jace Hughes teamed up with a Gainesville golfer to shoot a 70 for second place.
Jesse Hughes and Jesse Vestal combined for a 75 to take fifth place at the event.
