Hartville baseball drops pair of games

Hartville’s baseball team saw their losing skid hit three straight after a pair of losses against solid programs.
Last Friday, the Eagles’ offense was held scoreless as they lost in a no-hitter to Conway, 1-0.
Truett Coryell, Cole Sinning and TJ Kline each reached base on walks to ensure no perfect game.
Coryell tossed five innings and gave up one earned run on one hit with 11 strikeouts and three walks. Gus Sinning tossed two scoreless innings and gave up one hit and had two strikeouts.
Two days later, the Eagles traveled to Bakersfield and left with a disappointing 14-3 loss.
Both Hesston Lowery and Brodyn Hulsey had one RBI in the loss. Cole Sinning, Gus Sinning and Maddox Jones each scored one run.
Cole Sinning gave up no earned runs in two and two-thirds innings, giving up four hits with two strikeouts and three walks. Gus Sinning tossed a scoreless, no-hit inning as he struck out all three batters he faced. Lowery tossed a third of an inning and gave up seven earned runs on three hits with three walks.
Hartville’s record is 9-5 on the season.
