Lansdown faces multiple charges

Dallas Lansdown, 29, of Mansfield, is facing multiple felony charges following an investigation by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
On Aug. 13, deputies with the Wright County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report involving four young children who had left a residence on foot and were found walking along a roadway toward a nearby creek.
During the investigation, deputies learned of allegations involving threats with a firearm, physical discipline and the circumstances that led the children to leave the residence. The children were subsequently placed in the custody of the State of Missouri through Children’s Division.
As part of the investigation, deputies also documented concerning conditions inside the residence. Deputies reported an overwhelming odor of urine, numerous cats throughout the home, mold on a wall near an air conditioner, a sagging floor in the children’s bedroom and a deteriorated/rotting bathroom floor. Deputies also noted that there were no sheets on the bed in the children’s bedroom.
Deputies located and seized a black pellet gun that was consistent with the description provided by one of the children.
A warrant was subsequently issued for Dallas Lansdown’s arrest. Lansdown faces four counts of domestic assault in the third degree and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree. A $25,000 cash bond has been set. The investigation was conducted by deputies of the Wright County Sheriff’s Office in coordination with the Missouri Children’s Division. All persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
