New batting cages officially open in Mountain Grove

Earlier this month, Mountain Grove welcomed a new sports facility, The Bat Cave, an indoor batting cage, Located at 111 W. 11th St.
Their climate-controlled facility is a sanctuary from the humidity and heat for baseball and softball players alike. With the youth summer baseball season in full swing, the new owners believed this was the time to start.
“We have been involved in baseball for years, leading different leagues and teams, and since our move here we have been looking for a way to help improve sports in this town we love,” said Amanda Matthiesen, owner. Matthiesen and her husband, Aaron, have welcomed a large number of players and teams already, with more already on the schedule.
