Author David Jerome to speak on Bill Virdon book in Mansfield

On Monday, Aug. 12 at 6 p.m., the Mansfield Area Historical Society will be hosting speaker David Jerome, who is the author of “Bill Virdon, A Life in Baseball.”
Professor Jerome is currently writing a book about Major League Baseball’s Preacher Roe.
Both Bill Virdon and Preacher Roe have ties to the West Plains area 
Please join us at our museum, located at 101 North St. in Mansfield, just off the southwest corner of the Mansfield Square for an evening of baseball and Ozarks’ history.
