Mansfield Muncipal Court transfers to Wright County Courthouse on Sep. 1

As previously passed by the Mansfield City Council, the Municipal Court is scheduled to transfer to the Wright County Circuit Court effective Sep. 1, 2025.
The City is responsible for providing their own prosecuting attorney. The Mansfield Police Department will continue issuing the citations, with the court appearances scheduled in Hartville before the Associate Circuit Judge. Certain offenses on the Violations Bureau Fine Schedule can still be paid prior to court without the necessity of a court appearance. Aug. 12 was the final Municipal Court date held at City Hall.
From Aug. 15 to Sep. 1, payments cannot be accepted to allow the transition process. With questions, contact the Wright County Circuit Clerk’s office at 417-741-7121, ext. 235, or ext. 239.  Folks can also contact Larry Tyrrell’s office at 417-887-6800 with questions regarding their ticket.
Though the work load has increased with  Court of some kind on almost every day in Hartville, the Wright County Circuit Clerk staff has handled the work load and been able to absorb the extra work with not many issues.
